Disaronno “ the worlds favorite Italian liqueur” was founded in 1525. A young painter from the school of da Vinci was inspired by the beauty of a young widow in the village of Saronno. He painted "The fresco of the Madonna" in a church in Saronno (the painting can still be seen today) As gesture of gratitude the widow created an amber liquer. The Reina family after rediscovering the old recipe, which generations upon generations is transferred and kept secret they developed Disaronno. Since 1947 the sale of Disaronno increased explosively through exports to various countries. Currently, Disaronno sold in more than 160 worldwide and is a widely used in various liqueur cocktails. Disaronno is known for their famous cocktails, the most famous one would be the Disaronno Sour. The perfect combination of sweet and sour come together in a refreshing cocktail.

Disaronno is having the fifth designer collaboration; this year with Missoni - an Italian fashiondesigner. The special edition features a colourful zig zag design from Italian fashion house Missoni. Disaronno will launch six limited edition mini bottles, available in packs of three. The Disaronno Missoni bottle follows the launch of last year’s fashion edition featuring a design by Etro. Other previous designs include Moschino, Versace and Cavalli.
